One Formula Started It All
Before there was Biophytum, there was La Lotion Triomphante.
Developed by Dr. Marteyl in Montpellier in 1883, it was created exclusively for the scalp. At a time when French pharmacy and botanical science were flourishing, he combined fluid sulfur with 13 medicinal plants in a formula designed to help purify, rebalance and soothe scalps prone to discomfort.
The original label carried a simple promise:
"Au secours de vos cheveux."
"To the rescue of your hair."
More than 140 years later, La Lotion Triomphante remains the heart of Biophytum, inspiring every product, every ritual and every innovation that has followed.
